IUC

IUC

2020 January onwards IUC completely gone as per TRAI rules, and from October of this year TRAI cutoff IUC percentage 57%, from 14pisa per minute to 6pisa per minute.
Now you don't know what is IUC and IUC full form is Interconnection Usage Charges, now again you don't understand what it is, and why telecom company's are fighting for this issue from TRAI announce this new rule?
Simple Give you an example, since 1 year back Jio is giving you free data and voice calls, so if you make a call from Jio to any network it is free, but Jio had to pay connection charges to another telecom company, if you make a call from Jio to Airtel, if per minute call rate in Jio is ₹1 then you pay ₹1 as a call charge and also Jio had to pay ₹0.14 or ₹14pisa per minute to Airtel. And this rule is apply for all telecom company's.
So now TRAI is now starting to close this service in 2020, so TRAI prepared to do this slowly by cutting the charges, from this October onwards.
And this service most of benefits are going to Airtel because it is one of big telecom company in India.
So Jio paid to Airtel during its free offers is ₹480 crore. So IUC is fully stopped then Big telecom company's lose their most of revenue, so this war is going on.
TRAI main motive here is to bring Quality service and with a minimum price level,
